This skill is a modified version of the Back
Hip Circle, and can be performed to its highest level, a
Clear
Hip Handstand.It
begins with a Cast, and
forcefully holds a Hollow
position while circling around the bar, with the hands (and bar)
held at about the mid-thigh.As the circle nears completion, the athlete forces the
body away from the bar, ending in a support position, with the
hips “clear” of the bar. This skill is often called a Free Hip Circle.
